About
Welcome to my full-tilted (fully tilted?) blog. It's dedicated to my adventures in Linux programming, electronics, microcontrollers and other fields from a vast realm of embedded systems design. You could call it a pet-project portfolio. I enjoy building systems from scratch, sometimes by completely reinventing the wheel, as well as describing the whole process. So be ready for some high-quality programming-related graphomania.

We can't just lock ourselves in a bubble of programming and electronics and forget about other beautiful forms of art, right? If you're following my blog, you'll have a chance to take a break from development-related stuff to dive into a vast world of movies, self-hosting systems, urban exploration, or whatever else comes to my restless mind. I see it - I write about it.

Why "full tilt"?
According to Google, full tilt means:
with maximum energy or force; at top speed.
However, term tilt is also widely used in poker and esports where it has a completely different meaning:
Tilt is a poker term for a state of mental or emotional confusion or frustration in which a player adopts a suboptimal strategy, usually resulting in the player becoming overly aggressive.
Simply put, it's a state of irritation where player loses control over his emotions and thus can't perform at 100% of their ability. Therefore, full tilt in this context would refer to a state of complete frustration, loss of confidence and initiative which results in a suboptimal performance, often leading to a loss. Term full tilt is not widely popular, but everyone who plays competitive esports has probably heard (or even experienced it) at least once.

Why am I telling you all this, undoubtedly, interesting information? I'm a long time Counter-Strike player who has been playing since 2006 (starting with CS1.6). That said, I'm all too familiar with a painful state of full tilt where you lose control over your emotions which leads to a gameplay becoming a burden rather than a way to have fun. Me and full tilt became so close that I decided to use it to my advantage as a name for this blog.
So, can I turn tilt into creativity? If you're reading these lines then I think I've done a decent job. And of course:
More tilt?
